Mountains rise on the horizon, ancient forests loom above their dwellers, and an angry sea churns up foam on the shore. The world of Venturis is a wild one full of life and intrigue. Venturis Ventis is a roleplay focused on the wolves of this land and how they live. They hunt, sleep, and battle here, pack territories separated by stretches of earth that belong to no one. Loners roam in between and as the wind changes new groups come and go.
As the roleplay progresses, lore of the past is revealed to gain further insight into the packs and their stories. In addition, there will be active arcs that introduce new plots and trials that influence the packs and their livelihoods. These arcs can launch new natural disasters, new packs/groups, and a variety of other challenges that will provide fodder for character development and plenty of opportunity for new storylines.

Kind, Loyal, Compassionate, Resentful
The most warm and welcoming of the three packs, the Vertok of the mountains are known for their kindness and their dedication to their families and their pack. Where one Vertok stands, the rest of the pack is not far behind. While their views on outsiders are welcoming and their loyalty to each other knows no bounds, they are known for their resentment towards the Sanzin for tragedies of the past. They may be the most open, but they also have the best memory, and they do not forget.

Sly, Cruel, Chaotic, Power-Hungry
A pack of violence and selfishness, the Sanzin of the meadows have always had a very negative reputation throughout the valley. With power and stature being of the utmost importance to these wolves, laws and rules and titles hardly hold much influence here, for any power gained through title could easily be torn away by superior physical power. A place of uncertainty, the life of a Sanzin is not for the faint of heart. But those who thrive in violence, survival, and questionable morality? You'll fit right in.
| Au'Dar |
Mysterious, Untrusting, Territorial, Cultural
Wolves of mystery and culture, the Au'Dar of the pine forests are a very secluded group who hold deep loyalty to each other, but hold a hostile outlook towards outsiders. While their attitude towards those not of their own kind may easily drive you away, their culture is the most unique of all the packs. Followers of religion and believers in the power of nature, these wolves value the lives of life around them as much as they value their own, if not more. And these believes take on the form of tafas, animal companions who walk alongside the wolves of the Au'Dar, bonded together in spirit and in belief. Even among the other packs, those of the Au'Dar are one of a kind.

Nomadic, Free, Supportive, Professional
Brand new to the valley, the Mercurior is a guild rather than a pack, a group of wolves not constricted by the limits of a territory. These wolves are nomads, travelling the land as they see fit, often times as individuals rather than together. Held together by contract, this guild is formed under mutual trust and agreement. In the warm seasons, wolves are free to wander, provide for themselves, and live as they please. And in the cold seasons, they all come together to provide, protect, and survive as a group. Business and job-oriented wolves, the Mercurior slowly begin to build a reputation as workers for hire; wolves who will take on a variety of jobs from any willing to hire them in return for any number of rewards, such as food, medicine, or other possessions. All marked with a red brand, this guild holds its values and its business dear.
Currently the world of VV is found in a relatively decent sized valley known as Nerula surrounded half by mountain range and half by ocean. The valley itself is not real, nor is it based on a specific location, but the overall theme and possibilities within the valley are based roughly around the climates and qualities of North America and Europe combined. VV itself takes place in our one valley currently, but the valley itself is located in one small area of a much larger continent. For now, all activity is limited strictly to our valley, but there is a high possibility that this limit will be expanded beyond Nerula in the future...

{ Month 20## - July 2024 }
A New Era An event that shook the lives of those of the Au'Dar, the pack falls into new Leadership. After taking the life of the previous Centurion, Akala stakes her claim as the new Centurion, a role traditionally passed down through an ancient family bloodline. - Bite the Hand that Feeds You [LINK]
And So They Arrive Wolves of the Vertok begin to make an interesting discovery: wolves branded with red markings are beginning to appear around their territory. Upon further investigation, it is discovered that these wolves belong to a guild known as the Mercurior, and this guild has just recently found its way into the valley.
Loss of Water and Life While dryness and humidity are common in Summer, this Summer is different, for the heat is blazing at record breaking rates and is leaving the valley in shambles. Much of the valley's sources of water have gone dry and the prey has disappeared, seeking out more prosperous lands. The coming of this drought leaves the packs relying on whatever they can to survive, but how long will they last if they don't find a solution?
Emergency Meeting Desperate to find a collective solution to the Drought and in belief that they have found one, Conri and Rieka, King and Queen of the Vertok, send word to the Sanzin and the Au'Dar, calling for an emergency meeting of the pack Leaders. All four Leaders discuss what should be done, and the Vertok present their solution to the other Leaders: a new addition to the valley, Timber, Lord of the Mercurior Guild, brings forth information of a supposed dam in the mountains holding back a plethora of water that could bring life back to the valley. Though the Au'Dar and Sanzin are hesitant, the packs agree to meet in a few days time and travel to, hopefully, destroy this dam...if it exists. -- Emergency Meeting [LINK]
Destroy the Dam - Event After the emergency meeting of the pack Leaders, groups of wolves from each pack, as well as the Guild and a few bonus loners, all meet at the base of the mountain and are led by Timber to the dam. Though the dam is massive, all of the wolves throw everything they've got at the dam, ripping it apart until it begins to crack. With a final creak and snap, the dam bursts, releasing a flood of water into the valley's riverways. Although there were some lives lost in the flood that followed, at the very least they had all brought water back to the valley. -- Dam Event [LINK]
As Life Returns After the brief flooding of the dam, water has begun to flow naturally through the waterways once more, bringing with it rejuvenated flora, prey returning to the valley, and, after a long time of needing it, fresh water for the wolves to drink. Though the breezes begin to grow colder as Autumn approached, the packs could finally relax, at least a tiny bit, as the drought was over.
